  10.  AB    Four patients with cryptococcal meningitis were treated with
  11.        amphotericin B colloidal dispersion because of nephrotoxicity from prior
  12.        treatment with conventional amphotericin B. The limited experience
  13.        presented here suggests that amphotericin B colloidal dispersion is
  14.        efficacious for the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis, despite being
  15.        undetectable in cerebrospinal fluid, and offers a potential therapeutic
  16.        alternative for patients who cannot tolerate conventional amphotericin
